Pink in Stockholm for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Wednesday, October 1st starts the month of breast cancer awareness. So many of us either have had loved ones, know of someone who has had a loved one(s) who have been affected by this disease. There are also some of us who have been personally affected and are survivors. The pink facade of this home in Stockholm seems like the perfect way to kick off breast cancer awareness month. The fish clapboard detail is rather darling too.

More pink details inside via the very pretty wallpaper and floral arrangement.

inspiration for my next reupholstery project; fab!

more pretty wallpaper with pink details...
such a darling space.

National Breast Cancer.org is a great website with invaluable information regarding early detection of the disease and information regarding fundraisers and how you can help. I love their logo; helping women now. xx

Apartment with an Excellent Mix of Styles

eclectic interior

Lots of beautiful contrasts to be seen in this scandinavian apartment. You can see furniture from early 1900s to classic mid century modern pieces accompanied by a contemporary design and art, it is a wonderful mix, where I must really appreciate the work that must been put into this. All those vintage furniture pieces, carefully  collected and combined totally creates some unique style and feeling, that writing desk with added shelfs above or big black bookcase is just perfect.

Danis Modern Interior in Paris

Louise and Gregory, co-founders of the Maison Store Nordik have an amazing home in Paris 18th district. Warm, cozy atmosphere, created by carefully selected danish modern vintage pieces, is absolutely gorgeous. I simply love their collection of various mid century designers pieces.

The Home of Fashion Designer, Lee Mathews.

Oh Lee, I want everything in your home! If you take a look at Lee's portfolio, you wouldn't at all be surprised by this magical place of a home that she has created in Sydney Balmain.

I don't even know where to begin. I just love it all; the pattern play, colors, the mix of furniture, the art...

This has brightened my day for sure. We've had rain and dreary weather all week! I could look at the spaces over and over and over... How about you? xx

Beauty of Clean Black and White

eames chair

Oh, Black and White, it work so well when done good. Like in this pretty, clean danish apartment. There is so much to love,  large  kitchen with black cabinets and dark grey painted wooden floor, spacious living room, use of patterns in the hallway and many more.

Blanket Weather is Here.

Just like pillows, I have a thing for blankets. Now that the weather has cooled, they are popping up everywhere in our home.

I thrifted this hand made Mexican blanket a couple weeks ago for less than $4!

How about you? Are you a blanket fanatic too? Have a lovely Monday everyone. xx

Minimalist Danish Apartment

danish interior

nagel candlestick

Very nice home here, full of danish modern pieces and furnished with a minimalist style. There is not much decor or details yet the place have strong character and distinctive atmosphere. And owners obviously like the classic Nagel candlesticks  - always work as great decoration.

A Very Unique All White Loft in New York City.

The all white aesthetic and black floors allow everything to pop and "strut their stuff". The design of this NY loft is quite unique and no surprise since it was designed by the amazing architect, Diane Lewis.  It is a restored 19th century space and its design doesn't adhere to the constraints of traditional domestic architecture. Also, many of my favorite modern designers such as Knoll, Le Corbusier adorn the open space.

This unique home is a single space with floor-to-ceiling walls on two sides. A large box with original flooring, 19th century cast iron columns and no walls. The furniture can be freely positioned to define the spaces. This loft certainly has a New York type of attitude, doesn't it? Very fearless and bold in its design. xx

Home of a Swedish Chef

stylish kitchen

Ylva Bergqvist - chef, food stylist and recipe maker lives with her family in this colorful apartment. Kitchen is for sure one of the most important rooms here, with a beautiful big marble worktop and a stylish dining place containing vintage Arkana chairs and Saarinen table.
Extra large living room is an amazing space with a huge library and nice selection of vintage furniture.
