Art deco house with mid century style
Lovely symbiosis of the two eras, charming Art deco house furnished with mid century modern design furniture. This combination works really nicely and the playful colors of retro furniture adding a bit of spice.

Cozy Minimalist House
1950s house of architect Anders Barslund is nice example of delicately done renovation. It is very clean, spacious and bright, but also use some colored walls, rich decor and nice mid century modern furniture. Definitely nice place to be and kitchen is really big - must be nice to cook there.

Black, Red and White Interior in Copenhagen
Another Scandinavian delight here, now from Copenhagen. Amazing use of black and red color contrasting with otherwise white interior. Furnishing is very minimalist but selected with a great taste.

Colorful Artists House in Melbourne
This colorful and happy house belongs to artist Miranda Skoczek. It is a really a positive bright place, full of popping colors and cool art. I like the rich use of nicely patterned rugs in each room and overall style of the decor, which gives the place a very distinctive characteristic.

There’s Something About Blue…
Sometimes I feel like a traitor when I keep gushing so much over blue. You see, orange is my favourite colour. But, there is just something about blue….
Especially the deep, navy shade that never fails to make me weak in the knees.
This color is one of trust, honesty and loyalty. It is sincere, reserved and quiet, and doesn't like to make a fuss or draw attention. It hates confrontation, and likes to do things in its own way.
From a color psychology perspective, blue is reliable and responsible. This color exhibits an inner security and confidence. You can rely on it to take control and do the right thing in difficult times. It has a need for order and direction in its life, including its living and work spaces.
Hmmm, we may be onto something here. I know visually(I am a very visual person), I enjoy looking at blue. I’ve rounded up some spaces with splashes of this color in the design. Let’s take a look, shall we?
Are you besotted with blue too? Do tell! xx

A House with Pop Colors
This house hidden in a verdant greenery has been designed by architects firm Kruger Roos in Cape Town. It is really beautiful, how it looks that it is surrounded by jungle, magnificent view.
Interior of the house is designed with big creativity, using many scandinavian mid century modern designs but also almost 60s - 70s pop art, psychedelic colors.

What You Get For the $ in Antwerp, Belgium: A Converted Chapel for Sale
When my darling friend, Anita of Castles, Crowns and Cottages decided to host another European link party, I couldn’t resist joining in on the fun. Today, we’re headed to Antwerp, Belgium to tour a four-bedroom home in a converted chapel that is now on the market for $1.51 million.
According to Tim Van de Velde of the NYTimes(where I spotted this gem), children from the village took bible classes here.
the library
The living area boasts parquet floors with radiant heat and a fireplace designed to recirculate heat in the 49-by-33-foot loft-like space.
Swooning over those windows!
Simple master bedroom
the master suite features a walk in closet and bath
This moated Wissekerke castle that was once occupied by local nobility is now an art museum and a local attraction for weddings. Guess what? It’s only 150 yards away from the converted chapel. Buyers should love that, right!? Please visit Anita to be whisked away all over Europe! xx
