Before you head out the door with your shopping bags to do your Valentine's shopping check out a couple of ways to really out do yourself from last year. When it comes to Valentine’s be ready to think outside the box. Personalized gifts are treasured a lot longer than the average candy and flower. Here are a few of my favorite ways to personalize gifts.
1. Personalize Your Cards
Whether you make your own card or personalize an online card it can really blow someone away. There are some sites where you can design, personalize with a special message and even print on your card right on your printer at home. My personal favorite is a card with a cute photo of something memorable like an occasion, first date, dance from wedding etc.
Personalized Photo Books
These are great as well because you can tell a story. Whether you make them from scratch or online, it stands to last many years longer because of the special meaning and memories behind it. Maybe for Valentine’s Day you could tell a story of your life with your loved one. Or even make one for the kids with a photo of each year with a Valentine’s photo with the corresponding year.
Valentine Photo Mugs
These are especially perfect for Moms, Dads, Grandparents etc since they can be personalized. Add your kid's cute photo and an I love Grandma to make a wonderful keepsake to use and treasure year round. Everyone that visits Grandma for coffee and brunch can say my what cute little Grand-kids you have!
Personalized Shopping Bags
Help the environment plus create a nifty gift all in one. Personalized shopping bags can also be used all year long and you can even design your own online from many photo sites. Have your Valentine shopping in style and thinking about you every shopping trip they make!
Of course there are many other ways to personalize gifts but even for the busy person, it just takes a little thinking and some creativeness. So, whether you decide on creating
photo posters, hand made shirts from the kids or even some hand made pottery just remember it really is the thought that counts. I know some people spend a whole lot of money on things that may only last through the week but why not try something that lasts a whole lot longer? What are some of your favorite ways to personalize Valentine’s Gifts?
